Let us be clear: except 1 (one) archive, all .rar are CORRUPTED, bad CRC control (SHA1). Via Uploaded; I shall try via Turbobit and report then – for the moment, I simply affirm that I have never seen such a thing, which is a pity because César Franck's opuses are remarkable.

I managed to get it all, and then open in winrar, but they are all .2CH files. This is an obsolete format and I can't find a player nor a converter to a recognised format.

Noting the size of the files, this is disappointing. Suggestions welcome.

I have managed to open and convert using AIMP v3.60, build 1503.

As it had not one tag, I have named and tagged all the now separate tracks and converted to mp3 320. It is now about 1 gig, about 23 times smaller.

I realize that I'm listening on stereo speakers only and that some capabilities of these discs is not heard, but on a top end system at high volume, I cannot tell the difference.

Maybe there is to some ears, but that's hardly worth an extra 22 gig. That's my opinion.

Here's my version

In any event thanks for the post, as if you didn't I would never have heard it and I very much appreciate the effort that goes into a post such as this.

First, thank you Micaus.

Second, you converted to .mp3, would you do the same in .flac? maybe then 40% more disk space, but a better quality – not SACD but who really cares.

As you do not mention any transmission problems, I guess that you downloaded via Turbobit and not Uploaded. Anyway, it does not explain why I got such a miserable result, all these rotten archives.

Which leads me … to thank Gospodin Gkjoflm for his smart post, but also to beg him to re-up in Depfile or Rapidgator or Turbobit) his .iso (good idea, this format is the nec plus ultra for SACD or DVD or BD), in a good shape if I may say so.

I hope I did not offend anybody with this gossip … and my bad humor afer this awful DL of mine.

Da zvidania to everybody!

I did also convert to a lossless wave, but it was not a lot smaller than the iso. I then spent some time comparing the iso, wave and mp3. As I said, I could tell no difference between the 3 after much listening on a high end system at high volume, so I stuck with the mp3 for space reasons. I then tagged and named the tracks and deleted the original.

So to answer your question, I can't now do a flac as I deleted the 40 odd gig of the iso and wave, but I can assure you, you don't really need it, this sounds identical.

(at the end I succeeded, thanks for the .mp3 and the .iso, wonderful late romantic « French » organ music)
