Tchaikovsky in the heyday of Gileris, combining magnificent scale and rich poetry
The world's first SACD for all songs! The ultimate goal supported by a strong spirit and high technology.
In the past, Tchaikovsky had such an explosive power that there was no other than Horowitz, so it can be said that it is a tough performance. Gilerith's piano, which takes over the transcendental Virtuoso lineage of Russia, is staggering. This is a two piece disc with Russian emotions, in addition to all three piano concertos, plus the elegant piano concerto No. 3 (monophonic recording) by Rachmaninov who co-starred with Cluytens in 1955. For this reprint, mastering was performed separately for the SACD layer and the CD layer separately, using a master that was digitized at 96 kHz / 24 bit from the original analog master in the home country. In this reprint, Tchaikovsky recorded three songs that were recorded at the same time. Gilerith's No. 1 has been reissued many times on CD, and many other pianists have been sold on SACD, but the other two SACDs may be rare. By combining the three songs, I think we can listen to Gilerith's consistent claim. In addition, Gilerith's first stereo recording was recorded with a 1955 liner and later with a 1979 meter. This recording is a performance in the middle of 1972, just before the age of 56 by Gilerith. Suddenly, the strong keystrokes from the beginning are astounding, and can be said to be synonymous with the expression of Gileris. In this reoccurrence, of course, this reverberation has been properly captured without breakage, and the SACD layer has been reproduced with ample sound. The strong sound that can be said to be a flood of sounds that overflows from the piano located in the center is a unique sound that can only be heard by Gileris. In this reprint, you can enjoy not only power but also delicate sound with strength. I think that you can feel the various expressions of the pianist named Gilerith. In addition, at the end of the second piece, we recorded Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 with Cluytens in 1955. Although it is a monaural recording, it is a valuable record since Gilerith did not leave a stereo recording of this song after this. Please listen to the elegant sound.
