LUXXURY’s full length debut “It’s Not Funny” (Nolita Records 11-8-19) compiles ten disco & funk infused bedroom pop gems for fans of Toro Y Moi, Caribou and Breakbot, with nods to LCD Soundsystem, Todd Terje and The Bee Gees. From the melancholy Poolside-esque slow disco of “Take it Slow” (originally released on Brooklyn hipster imprint Deep&Disco) to the muscular Clash-like bassline heavy funk of “Be Good 2 Me” (as heard in XBOX game Forza Horizon 4, the album also includes the swirly Washed Out vibes of “What Do Ya Really Want” and the pensive Parcels-y synthpop of “I Need You.” The previously unreleased song “Turn Off All The Lights” evokes equal parts Tame Impala and Ariel Pink.
