Early classic highly sought after and cherished by collectors and rightly so, for perfectly capturing so many different moods. Side one blasts off with bristling hard rock on ‘Kingdom’, switching to other-worldly drifting folk/psych on ‘Change’, then on to a killer version of ‘One In The Spirit’ with Evan Williams unleashing relentless stereo-separated fuzz guitar that races back and forth from speaker to speaker. ‘Truth’ is another psychy hard-edged rocker that makes use of both fuzz and wah-wah. Shifts into rural electric folk-rock for ‘Country Tune’. Also some good folky and acoustic selections (‘Share’, ‘Joy Of Salvation’, ‘Free’) mixed in with the more basement rock stuff. Oddball synth sounds open the album in ‘Prologue’, while cascading harp closes out ‘Epilogue’. Strong organ presence from start to finish (courtesy of Kerry Chester), along with dynamic drumming and percussion, all of it accentuated by Williams’ breathy vocals. A couple sleeve variations exist – the original has individual photos of the trio on the back, the other has a group shot similar to the front cover.
