For OMEN069, the OMEN family comes together to revisit Pablo Wesler’s "The Best Place by the Fire...". Ten artists take on his original productions, bringing their own approaches to a collection that moves through the darker and more experimental sides of electronic music.
Tormented, Nick Viola, AXKAN, Vertex Form, Luis Ruiz and Brayan Valenzuela take the release into industrial territory, moving between broken rhythms and driving 4/4. Nick Viola’s industrial grit, AXKAN’s noise driven approach and Vertex Form’s dark, hypnotic sound sits alongside Brayan Valenzuela’s raw explorations of techno and broken rhythms.
Elsewhere, Rynzler brings an EBM influence on “Fearnot”, while Shintarø Kanie takes “The Luck Child” into darker, hypnotic territory. Tunnel and Zegyl close out the collection with experimental interpretations of “The Soldier and Death” and “Sapsorrow”.
Each artist brings a different perspective to Pablo’s work, capturing the range of sounds that make up the Omen family. We’re incredibly happy with their contributions and proud to bring them together for this release.
