Ronny Smith's Velvet Vibe - Expanded Edition features 12 tracks of contemporary jazz, soulful grooves, warm guitar, and two new recordings.
**VELVET VIBE - EXPANDED EDITION** Velvet Vibe - Expanded Edition is the new 12-track physical CD from contemporary jazz guitarist, composer, and recording artist Ronny Smith. Expanding on the album's 2026 digital release, this edition adds two newly recorded tracks and brings Velvet Vibe to CD for the first time. The title track, 'Velvet Vibe,' has already generated national radio support, including airplay on SiriusXM Watercolors. For fans of George Benson, Norman Brown, Chuck Loeb, and Peter White, Velvet Vibe blends contemporary jazz with soul, funk, blues, and gospel. Built around Smith's warm guitar tone, melodic approach, and signature groove, the album combines accessible melodies and polished production with the improvisation and musicianship at the heart of his music. Across the album, Smith moves easily from laid-back grooves and melodic ballads to upbeat contemporary jazz and more traditional jazz influences. Highlights including 'Breeze,' 'Feel the Groove,' 'Night Wave,' 'Heaven's Angel,' 'Horizon Lights,' and 'Once Upon a Dream' showcase the range of the collection while maintaining a cohesive sound centered on guitar, melody, rhythm, and groove. An established independent contemporary jazz artist, Smith has earned national radio and chart recognition. 'City Groove' reached No. 1 on Billboard's BDS New & Active Smooth Jazz chart, while his 2024 album Struttin' was recognized among SmoothJazz.com's Top 100 Smooth Jazz Albums of the Year. Supported by ongoing radio promotion, national publicity, social media, and live performances, Velvet Vibe - Expanded Edition builds on the momentum of the original release while giving longtime listeners two new recordings and offering new listeners an inviting introduction to Ronny Smith's distinctive sound.
