"A&M Composers Series Vol. 3" is a compilation album released on September 21, 1988, by A&M Records (exclusively for the Japanese market through distributor Pony Canyon). The collection is entirely dedicated to the prominent American songwriting duo: composer Roger Nichols and lyricist Paul Williams.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Roger Nichols and Paul Williams served as the primary staff songwriters for Irving Music, the publishing arm of A&M Records. Their creative synergy gifted the world a number of essential 20th-century pop standards.
Released as part of the premium "Audio Master Plus Series"—a line geared toward audiophiles—this compilation provides an excellent illustration of how the same songs were interpreted and brought to life by various artists.
