“O Come, Emmanuel” is the title of an old Advent carol and also the title of Currende’s third Christmas concert. This concert was recorded on December 29, 2025, at St. Peter’s Church in Leuven. This CD, too, offers a wonderfully warm immersion in enchanting Christmas sounds, centered on English Christmas music—“Real British Christmas Music.” With an ensemble of six singers, organ, strings, recorder, and baroque oboe, you’ll hear a seamless tapestry of festive and intimate Christmas music by Thomas Tallis, William Byrd, Orlando Gibbons, John Blow, and George Frideric Handel. You’ll also hear some surprising and well-known Christmas carols, newly arranged for Currende’s Christmas ensemble. The acoustics of St. Peter’s Church in Leuven provided a magnificent setting for this recording.
