German artist, producer and composer EMIKA is releasing “Fountain Immersive” on 30 October 2026 on her own label Emika Records: an eight-track spatial sequel to her March 2026 album “Fountain.” The music was conceived, composed and mixed in Dolby Atmos from day one rather than adapted afterwards. Work took place in her new 7.1.4 studio in Rottweil, on the edge of the Black Forest. Emika plays piano, sings, writes the music and lyrics and handles sound design; Peter Ettwein, Jan Meinema, Richy Hughes and Timothy Stapley contributed to production.
The album’s classical core was recorded in Prague: the Prague Metropolitan Orchestra string orchestra and the Vox Pragae choir, conducted by Miriam Němcová, worked at the Czech TV Music Studio. String scores for “Butterfly” and choral parts for “As If We Had” were composed and arranged by Catalan composer Bernat Vivancos, who appears as a guest on both tracks. The seventh track, “Tear In Your Love Song,” is the only one not labelled Immersive.
This autumn and winter Emika will present the material in planetariums across Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic (Bochum, Münster, Hamburg, Lucerne, Stuttgart, Berlin, Prague, Jena), as well as in Munich and Rottweil.
