Thao - Show Me (2026) [Hi-Res]

Thao Nguyen is ready to fall in love. Not for the first time, of course, but bravely, fully, and as the version of herself she’s been building all these years. “I’ve learned that the point of life is not to emerge unscathed, and that I don't want to operate as I always have — masking fear as indifference,” she says. “I had and have been craving full embodiment for a very long time. I want to try for the kind of love I've always wanted and never really thought I could have, because it required terrifying things like staying and relaxing into the idea that love might pummel you if it needs to. But I suspect it is worth it, beautifully so.”

Her sixth studio album, Show Me, is an aural diary of that journey. “This record is a real-time record-keeping of my life evolving into love the last few years,” Nguyen says. She’s dealt with divorce, moving house, and all the turbulent moments inherent in those life changes. “Some songs are snapshots of moments I've never felt before, some are ruminations of what I need to keep, what I want to shear, what I want to move toward.” The result is an 11-song suite that encompasses unrequited love, forgiveness, and all the signposts of a life thoroughly lived. It was produced by Nguyen, Merrill Garbus, Nate Brenner, and Eli Crews.
