Snobs, Tina Duvoisin - Samedi Noir (1990) Hi-Res

"Samedi Noir" ("Black Saturday") is the debut studio album by the French synth-pop/coldwave project Snobs (featuring vocalist Tina Duvoisin). The record was released on March 1, 1990, on the renowned German indie label Eisenberg, owned by Carlos Perón, one of the founders of the legendary electronic group Yello.
Perón himself produced and engineered the original sessions, as well as the subsequent digital remastering. The album long remained a cult rarity in the European underground until Sub Culture Records officially reissued it on digital platforms. The record immerses the listener in the dark, nocturnal atmosphere of the criminal outskirts of the metropolis, paranoia, and fateful encounters in the rain (vividly reflected in the lyrics of the title track).
