"Fundamentalist" is the ninth studio album by legendary Australian pop and rock singer-songwriter Russell Morris, released on May 19, 2007, on the Australian independent label Liberation Blue / Bloodlines.
The album is an intimate, minimalist retrospective, in which the artist reinterprets his rich musical legacy in an acoustic vein.
The album's title ("Fundamentalist") hints at a return to the very roots and fundamentals of his songwriting—without the complex psychedelic or electronic studio effects that made Morris famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
