The Corsican group I Muvrini has released “Antifragile,” an album of fifteen songs in which the beauty of Corsica becomes a sonic symphony. The title refers to the idea of “antifragility”: the human ability not merely to survive chaos and hostility, but to profit from them, grow and become better.
The music is refined tradi-pop: the melodic power is intact, and the arrangements are remarkably delicate. The sound, as varied as the mosaic of the Mediterranean, opens a spiritual dimension linking heaven and earth. The group, whose name means “mouflons” (the wild mountain sheep of Corsica), celebrates the “beauty of resistance” that the islands of the world value like no one else. Every new I Muvrini album is an act of audacity, the audacity of singing consciences and the challenge of the singular that carries the universal. Here tradition reinvents itself, embraces the sounds of today, and returns to the poetic breath of its island shores.
