The Good, The Bad, The Ugly — a 1975 salsa album recorded in New York by Willie Colón and Héctor Lavoe. Released by Fania, the album was the duo’s last collaborative effort before Lavoe began his solo career. It also features Rubén Blades in his first role as a singer-songwriter, while guest musicians include Yomo Toro. On October 23, 2026, Craft Latino released a remastered version of the album with the original gatefold cover and high-resolution streaming. The album’s production blends traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms with influences from jazz, funk, rock, and Brazilian music. Tracks such as “El Cazanguero,” along with guitarist Elliott Randall’s instrumental parts, highlight this experimental fusion. Lavoe showcases his versatility by parodying traditional singers and performing Puerto Rican folk music. The album cover humorously riffs on the famous Western, depicting Toro, Colón, and Lavoe as the characters named in the title.
