The Empty Pockets - Dear Billionaires (2026) [Hi-Res]

Dear Billionaires is a record about work, money, relationships and trying to build an ordinary life in a world that increasingly feels anything but ordinary.

The Empty Pockets recorded all ten songs over two days in Abbey Road Studio 2. The four musicians played together live, with no instrumental overdubs. That meant there was no “fix it later”: if one person lost the take, everybody lost the take. The performances that became the record are the moments when all four people found the same song at the same time.

That approach grew out of years spent as a working band: touring in vans, playing clubs and theaters, making physical records, mailing music directly to listeners and slowly building a community around the songs. Dear Billionaires is both a reflection of that life and a record made the same way the band has built its career: together, independently and in real time.
