The Desert Furs - All Is You (2020)

"All Is You" is the second full-length studio album by American indie quartet The Desert Furs, released on January 20, 2020. The record continued to shape the band's signature style, where a relaxed California aesthetic meets hypnotic jams.

"All Is You" sounds like a cinematic soundtrack for a leisurely road trip through the canyons and deserts of Colorado. The lyrics are filled with themes of unity with nature, the search for inner freedom, love, and spiritual awakening (strongly conveyed in the title track: "Don't be afraid. There's no right or wrong. Love each other. And carry on").
Unlike the band's later, more distinctly funk-disco works (such as "Existing Just For Fun"), this release leans toward a more classic, ethereal guitar-driven psychedelia with an emphasis on analog keyboards and a soft rhythmic pattern. The album is just over 47 minutes long and includes 8 original tracks.
