Reviews in music magazines like No Depression described the album's sound as a "swirl-like blend of soul, country-rock, and funky R&B." Manson and his backing band create a dense, vibrant, and "lush" soundscape.
"Live Your Love" is an incredibly vibrant album, despite being a studio recording. Its tracks evoke the spirit of freedom, American nightclubs, and endless road trips. The album's mood balances between cheerful, funky rock 'n' roll abandon and deep, almost hypnotic ballads.
