The core of New Timeline remains Arkadiusz Zuzmak's virtuoso, dense, and melodic guitar work, which sets the tone and structure for all the compositions. However, this release brings significant changes: of the album's 10 tracks, 7 are instrumental, and the remaining 3 are full-length songs with vocals.
The album's major production triumph was the involvement of legendary American musician Ray Alder, the longtime frontman of the cult progressive metal band Fates Warning. His recognizable, emotional vocals are featured on three key compositions (including the title track and the single "Fireflies For Satellites").
