The collection offers a comprehensive look at Bolan's evolution: from his triumphant, classic glam sound with its fat guitar grooves ("20th Century Boy," "Metal Guru") to his experiments with soul, disco rhythms, and pre-punk sounds in the second half of the 1970s ("New York City," "I Love to Boogie").
The original Edsel Records edition comes with a detailed 12-page booklet, featuring extensive track-by-track liner notes from rock biographer Mark Paytress.
