New York legends The Slackers have partnered with Pirates Press Records to reissue their seminal album Better Late Than Never on colored double vinyl to mark its 30th anniversary. Although the band originally formed in 1991 and released several cassettes, this record—recorded at Coyote Studios in Brooklyn with producer Victor Rice—defined their signature sound blending traditional Jamaican ska, reggae, blues, and lovers rock. The definitive edition includes fan-favorite tracks "Sarah" and "Sooner or Later," along with a guest vocal appearance by Doreen Shaffer of The Skatalites on "Our Day Will Come," unifying all 16 tracks ever released across various pressings, including the original release on Moon Ska Records.
