Jono Manson - Under the Stone (2001)

Following the release of the commercially successful Little Big Man, Manson cemented his status as a key figure in independent American folk and roots rock. Under the Stone was recorded with European partners, cementing the musician's special connection with the Italian scene, where his solo work and production projects have traditionally been in high demand.
Sonically, the album moves away from raw garage blues toward more melodic, mellow pop rock and classic Americana. The emphasis here is on profound lyrics, rich acoustic and electric guitar arrangements, and Manson's warm, mature vocals.
