English pop singer-songwriter, drummer and model Florrie is releasing her second studio album, “Magic For a While.” It arrives on October 16, 2026, on Xenomania UK and BMG, on CD, vinyl, digital download and streaming. It is her first major project since her debut “The Lost Ones” (2024); in between she released only two standalone singles, “Swimming Pool” and “Pieces.” Florrie produced the record herself with her longtime collaborators Brian Higgins and Ben Taylor.
Work on the album began in early 2025 in Los Angeles, where Florrie was living alone and, by her own account, had plenty of time to think about what she wanted to say. She calls herself a “studio hermit” over the past year and admits that some of the songs are ones she had wanted to write for years. Her creative aim was to make the record feel live, energetic and human.
The album was announced in June 2026, and five singles preceded it: “The Times” (June 5, with a music video), “Malibu (Falling Over the Edge)” (July 3; a remix by St. Lucia followed later that month), “Warrior” (July 31), “Catch You If You Fall” (August 28) and the title track “Magic For a While” (September 25). The record has 12 tracks, including “Sofa,” “Late Night Running Through New York,” “Spreadsheets,” “Annie,” “I Wanna Be in LA,” “Live in the Silence” and “Sad Eyes.” The music press describes the sound as dreamy, nostalgic pop, and Florrie as an artist who keeps embracing pop on her own terms.
