The album is in the spirit of 1970s British classic rock, emphasizing a powerful analog sound driven by Hammond organ, heavy guitar riffs, and layered vocals. The album was recorded, mixed, and produced at Lowell Street Sound Studios under the direction of Tom Hamilton. Music journalist Dmitry M. Epstein contributed lyrics to six tracks on the release.
