Sydney Valette - I Fucking Love You (2026)

Paris-based electronic maverick Sydney Valette delivers a stunning statement with his highly anticipated Artoffact Records debut album, I Fucking Love You. Renowned for his chameleon-like ability to traverse subgenres, Valette masterfully fuses aggressive EBM pulses and raw synth-punk with the cinematic, haunting textures of coldwave and dark Italo-disco. Throw in a bit of Sydney's bedroom-pop roots, and you have a runaway contender for album of the year! True to its provocative title, the record delves into the dizzying, chaotic depths of modern romance—fearlessly exploring themes of obsessive passion, toxic love, and raw emotional vulnerability. By balancing bleak, hard-hitting dancefloor energy with sharp pop sensibilities and a distinct touch of cynical wit, Sydney Valette's new album serves as both a gritty club weapon and an intimate, beautifully haunted portrait of contemporary desire.

This record wears its solemnity proudly, while exercising a frequent willingness for oddities and contradictions. There’s a defiant spark of satire and comic opera that creeps between the tones of its ceremonial grandiosity. A sense of farcical and ritualistic mystery you can’t quite unravel.

Can anything sound anthemic, hilarious, and sinister at once? "I Fucking Love You" is the liminal space in which tragedy meets its remedy.
