Cedarsmoke - Under The Rainbow (2025)

Under The Rainbow (2025) is a release by Brisbane indie collective Cedarsmoke, known for their signature combination of ironic, melancholic lyricism and vibrant guitar melodies. The album continues to develop frontman Jonny Cobbin's poetic universe, filled with dark humor, existential reflection, everyday observations, and witty social satire. Titled with a characteristic dose of sarcasm, Under The Rainbow explores the concept of life after hopes are dashed—where, instead of the promised gold "at the end of the rainbow," all that remains is the mundane urban routine, the search for meaning, and the quiet poetry of the everyday.
