Ihre Kinder - Ihre Kinder (Reissue) (1969)

Ihre Kinder (1969) is the historically significant debut album by the Nuremberg band Ihre Kinder, recognized by musicologists as one of the pioneers of German-language rock and the early krautrock scene. In an era when West German bands were routinely copying Anglo-American blues and psychedelia with English lyrics, Ihre Kinder, led by Sonny Hennig and Ernst Schultz, took a revolutionary step by singing in their native language. The album sharply addressed social issues, youth protest, and the conservative structure of post-war West Germany, laying the foundation for the subsequent wave of Deutschrock and the socially critical music of the 1970s.
