The independent Paris label Born Bad Records is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a commemorative compilation on which the label's artists record each other's songs. Each participant picks a track from the Born Bad catalogue and performs it in their own way: these are not mere covers but tributes to a fellow artist, combining fidelity to the original with complete reinterpretation. This approach reflects the label's philosophy, which has always valued freedom and the blurring of genre boundaries, and the compilation becomes a cross-section of a rich and diverse catalogue.
The release is non-commercial and comes out on vinyl; it was supported by the fashion designer Agnès b. (Agnès b.). It is given free to anyone who orders two records from the label's catalogue. The compilation had its exclusive premiere at the Born Bad Records anniversary celebration at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on October 3, 2026.
