The music scene of Glasgow serves as the foundation for an album blending traditional folk, jazz, Irish song, and Old Time. The core instrumentation centers on the harp and fiddle, supported by harmonium, piano, alto saxophone, banjo, cello, and vocals. The tracklist balances original compositions with curated traditional tunes.
Recorded live at Slate Room Studio with sound engineer Garry, the production emphasizes organic room acoustics, human presence, instrument creaks, and subtle imperfections by avoiding excessive editing or signal isolation.
Four guest artists shape the project's identity:
Norman Willmore (alto saxophone), incorporating Shetland traditions and Glasgow jazz-folk;
Teresa Horgan (vocals), illustrating the musical dialogue between Scotland and Ireland;
Cahalen Morrison (banjo, vocals), introducing Americana influences;
Juliette Lemoine (cello), bridging a classical background with traditional music expression.
