Silk Fence - Silk Fence (2026)

Silk Fence - Silk Fence (2026)

BAND/ARTIST: Silk Fence

The self-titled release by New York-based electro-acoustic trio Silk Fence brings together seasoned experimental musicians Arian Shafiee, Booker Stardrum, and Justin Frye for a 35-minute exploration of texture-driven minimalism and free improvisation. Released on Ryan Davis's Sophomore Lounge Records, the four-track record blends electric guitar, double bass, percussion, tape loops, and subtle electronics. The trio moves fluidly between hypnotic kraut-jazz grooves, expansive ambient soundscapes, and experimental American folk influences, occupying an artistic space between the avant-garde raw spirit of ESP-Disk and the atmospheric precision of ECM.
