Riffstone - Zodiac (2026)

Fire and Folklore (2026) is the third full-length studio album from British quartet These Wicked Rivers, recognized for their unique synthesis of visceral American Southern rock, heavy British blues, and dark British folk. Following the success of Force of Nature (2024), the band delves into a conceptual exploration of dark legends, industrial heritage, and spiritual torment. The album is recorded with their signature live analog sound—heavy guitar riffs, vintage Hammond organ, and dramatic, heartbreaking vocals.

Riffstone is a new UK-based progressive rock band. Brought together by a shared love of narrative-driven prog, Dave ALLEN (SPIRERGY) and Colin POWELL (A MULTITUDE OF ONE, NOVA CASCADE) create immersive, atmospheric concept music inspired by history, mythology, and human emotion.

Their debut album, "Richard III", reimagines a personal project originally recorded by Dave for his wife, Gill, and transforms it into a sweeping modern epic in the style of classic progressive rock storytelling.

Dave first discovered Colin's work through the album "A Templar's Tale", a similarly styled prog concept piece. Impressed by its musicality and production, Dave reached out, and Colin immediately connected with the vision for Richard III.

The two worked remotely, exchanging multitrack sessions, layering new parts, refining sounds, and co-producing each piece. The collaboration reflects a perfect balance between Dave's compositional depth and Colin's production expertise. The music show some influences of YES, GENESIS, CAMEL, BIG BIG TRAIN, ALAN PARSONS PROJECT and STEVE HACKETT.
