Multi-instrumentalists Lauren Halász and Colin McMahon, performing as the Cobourg-based indie Celtic folk duo Lo & the High Road, have launched a Kickstarter campaign to finance the physical CD and vinyl pressings of their sophomore album, «Standing Stones».
The launch of the campaign coincides with the band's live tour leading up to the album's scheduled fall release. Building on the success of their 2023 debut, «Jackalope Tales (& Other Stories)», which accumulated over 2.5 million streams on Spotify through its fusion of folklore, original storytelling, and traditional tunes, the duo is utilizing crowdfunding to complete final recording sessions and finance physical distribution for their new project.
