Grace Kennedy - D-Zire (2026) [Hi-Res]

"Desire" is a sparkling, richly orchestrated, and infectious masterclass in Late-70s Disco-Soul, UK R&B, and Sophisticated Pop. Fronted by Grace Kennedy’s powerful, theatrical, and crystal-clear vocals, the record perfectly captures the bridge between the lush, organic orchestration of late-70s disco and the slick, groove-driven R&B that defined the early 80s.

Sonically, the production is a high-end analog showcase recorded with full orchestral backings at London’s premier studios. The arrangements feature sweeping, disco-style string sections, punchy live brass, syncopated slap-and-fingerstyle basslines, and crisp, driving rhythm tracks (featuring legendary session drummers like Clem Cattini). Songs move effortlessly from high-octane dancefloor movers like "By Way Of Love's Express" and "Fandango Dancin'" to deeply emotional, soaring ballads like "Desire" and "My Heart Keeps Breaking Over You".
