A previously unreleased 2014 live-in-studio recording by Scottish group The Amazing Snakeheads, captured in Amsterdam for the iconic Dutch program "2 Meter Sessions," is receiving its first-ever physical release. Recorded shortly after the band signed to Domino Recording Company and released their acclaimed debut album "Amphetamine Ballads," the session captures the Glasgow underground act at their most fierce and raw. Blending dark, visceral garage rock, blues, and rockabilly, the band earned frequent comparisons to The Birthday Party and The Gun Club. The recording documents a pivotal transition for the group, featuring founder and frontman Dale Barclay leading a newly formed lineup as its sole remaining original member. Following Barclay's untimely passing in 2018 at the age of 32, this session serves as a crucial historical document of his artistic legacy. The deluxe Ultra Gold vinyl reissue includes rare session photography, liner notes from the original producer, and a facsimile postcard written by Barclay's widow, Laura St. Jude.
