The Ghostlight musical project marks the first direct performance collaboration between Australian musicians and producers Jamie Trevaskis (Crying, The Heavy Light) and James Lees (Ghostwoods, Silver Sircus), long-time friends who had previously worked together in the studio. The initiative originated from a series of extended guitar instrumentals recorded by Jamie Trevaskis at his studio in northern New South Wales. Filled with drone textures, broken chords, and ambient echoes, these compositions shift between serene, ethereal tones and ominous chaos. By pairing these cinematic guitar soundscapes with James Lees' atmospheric piano and percussion, the duo crafted an exploration of spatial connection, haunting memories, and an unknowable past.
