Ex Canix - Soma (2023) Hi-Res

Soma (2023) is a deep dive into psychedelic and avant-garde improvisational ritual practice by the Swedish underground quartet Ex Canix. Recorded in Linköping between 2018 and 2021, the album serves as a final dedication to the late keyboardist Håkke Müller. Named after the ritual hallucinogenic drink of the ancient Aryans, the record is built around extended, hypnotic analog jams where the freedom of European free jazz meets the monotonous trance of hypnotic motility and acoustic paganism.
