The Minneapolis-based indie folk project Humbird, led by singer-songwriter Siri Undlin, presents her fourth full-length album, Morning When It Comes, scheduled for release on September 25, 2026, via Nettwerk. Written during a period of personal physical and mental health struggles, the record was conceived as a twelve-track collection of "secular hymns" drawing on cosmic imagery to find grounding and comfort on Earth.
Recorded in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the album marks Siri Undlin's co-producing debut alongside long-time collaborator Shane Leonard. Joined by multi-instrumentalist Pat Keen, pedal steel guitarist Rich Hinman, and pianist Sam Kassirer, the ensemble transformed intimate acoustic songwriting into a rich, electrified sonic landscape blending Americana and Indie Folk. The lead single, Daughter of Empire, contrasts lyrics about contemporary systemic frustrations with vibrant 1970s-inspired Folk-Pop arrangements. The album announcement accompanies extensive touring, including support slots for John Craigie and headline autumn dates.
