Not the hits, not the albums—this is the Unicorn story hiding in the margins.

Last Orders is a 37-track alternative anthology built from the extra songs and performances that sat outside the band’s official LPs. Most are previously unreleased, and together they stretch from Unicorn’s early days to a final piece of unfinished business completed more than half a century later.

The first disc pairs five live recordings from London in 1971 with four studio songs from 1972, then drops the band into Boulder, Colorado, for nine performances from their 1974 American tour. Close harmonies, country-rock lift and that unmistakably English melancholy are all here, caught with the edges still on.

The second disc follows the songs Unicorn kept making after and between the albums: studio demos and home recordings from 1976 through 1981, including tapes preserved at Ken Baker’s Shed Studio. Three songs from a 2019 session carry the story forward, while “The Last Song” reaches back to an unused 1976 demo and finishes it in 2026 with Nick Capaldi adding new lead and harmony vocals.

Last Orders isn’t the official history. It’s the parallel one: early stages, songs that slipped past the albums, a late return and one final collaboration bridging fifty years.

Thirty-seven tracks. Two live eras. One very long last round.
