Led by singer-songwriter Alex Ellis, the British musical project Our Man in the Field has established itself as a prominent independent live act in the UK and Europe. Built on relentless touring, the band completed over 150 shows in a single year, earning spots at the Glastonbury Festival, Hyde Park alongside Neil Young, and on tour with Chuck Prophet, The Delines, and Jackson Dean.
The release of their album Silverado anchors an expansive narrative universe centered around Radio Free Silverado, a fictional 1970s pirate radio station delivering music, stories, and live broadcasts. Produced by Guy Fletcher at Mark Knopfler's British Grove Studios, the album merges Soul, Americana, and Indie Folk with widescreen storytelling and road romance. The production features contributions from a distinguished group of musicians and industry figures, including Ethan Johns, Sonny Landreth, P.P. Arnold, Robbie McIntosh, Nick Pini, Will Fry, and legendary engineer Glyn Johns.
