Alternative act Keo releases their debut full-length record Put A Smile On For Me via Island. The eleven-track record, led by the explosive single "That's Me", balances concise, driving tracks with expansive sonic arrangements. Stylistically, the music blends Grunge, Alternative Rock, and introspective Indie Rock.
Lyrically, frontman Finn Keogh addresses themes of personal guilt, internal contradiction, hidden burdens, and self-discovery through striking imagery and melodies. Musically, the album flows through shifts between heavy, aggressive passages and quiet, vulnerable moments. The record was fully self-produced by Keo and recorded across a focused ten-day session led by Finn Keogh and guitarist Jimmy Lanwern. The line-up is completed by bassist Conor Mac Keogh and drummer Oliver Spackman, with technical contributions from recording engineer Harry Jordan, mixing engineer Nathan Phillips, and mastering engineer Chris Gehringer.
