Thomas Dinger - Für mich (1982)

Für mich (1982) is the only solo album released during Thomas Dinger's lifetime. He is the brother of Klaus Dinger and a key figure in the history of the Düsseldorf krautrock scene. Recorded after the breakup of the giants La Düsseldorf with the help of sound engineer and producer Hans Lampe, the album is an intimate, luminous, and deeply personal document. In contrast to the aggressively motoric and socially charged manifestos of La Düsseldorf, Für mich (For Me) veers toward meditative, transparent art-pop, hypnotic electro-ambient, and the poetic German Romanticism of the 1980s.
