Los Apson - Los Originales (2014)

Los Originales (2014) is a comprehensive anthology and digital remastering of the legacy of the legendary Mexican ensemble Los Apson, one of the key pioneers of the Spanish-language rock and roll movement in the 1960s. The band's name stands for "Agua Prieta, Sonora," a border town from which the musicians drew direct influence from American surf rock, garage rock, and rhythm and blues. The collection gathers original recordings from the band's golden age, demonstrating how the Mexican scene adapted English-language hits and created its own, driving, and raw sound.
