Russian dark folk duo Nytt Land, who have explored archaic musical traditions for over two decades, present their live album Ritual of Stone Sun (Live 2026). The recording captures a special performance in Moscow held on the spring equinox, March 22, 2026. Designed as an immersive ritual, the concert bridges different eras of the ensemble's evolution, summoning a sacred atmosphere where nature, ancient memory, and spirits converge.
The sonic architecture of the release merges archaic Nordic folk traditions with Siberian shamanic practices. Utilizing traditional throat singing, rituals drums, and ancient percussion, the performance spans the duo's early Scandinavian-inspired compositions as well as their recent field studies into living Siberian vocal rituals. Operating within dark folk, ambient folk, and neofolk, the record stands as a ceremonial document of modern ritualistic music.
