Pianist and composer Dahveed Behroozi released September Substance, his third album leading a trio (trio) featuring bassist Thomas Morgan and drummer RJ Miller. Developed over several years, the original compositions explicitly target the piano trio (piano trio) format. Moving away from standard instrumental roles, the ensemble prioritizes sound texture, shared space, and real-time improvisation (improvisation). The written pieces serve as structural launchpads, allowing spontaneous interaction and collective creation to transform each track during performance.
