Altare Thotemico - Altare Thotemico (2009)

Altare Thotemico's self-titled debut album (2009) was a powerful and unexpected breakthrough on the Italian prog scene of the late 2000s. Recorded by a group from the Marche region, the album instantly captured the attention of connoisseurs of uncompromising RPI with its boldness, complexity, and rejection of standard symphonic clichés. The record revives the wild, uncompromising energy of Italian avant-garde rock and jazz-rock of the 1970s, where poetic recitation, sacred folklore, and complex instrumental acrobatics form a single ritualistic monolith.
