Soulful house diva Kim English is one of the genre's most enduring vocalists. Scoring early successes with hits for many of dance music's most noted producers, Kim's breezy gospel-influenced style has been embraced by club kids and deep house aficionados alike. Her 2006 effort, MY DESTINY balances upbeat, DJ-friendly tribal house numbers with more downtempo material, all showcasing Kim's commanding vocal chops. Uplifting yet sensual, MY DESTINY is spirited house music in the tradition of fellow Chicago legends Ten City and Larry Heard.~ Review by AllMusic
