VA - Horizontes (2026)

Five years in, Medellin imprint Artificio continues to carve out a distinct space within Colombias club underground. Guided by founders Passq and Rainmaker, the label marks half a decade not with a look backward, but with Horizontes: an 18-track compilation pointing directly to where the imprint is headed next. Bringing together a tight cross-section of Latin American producers alongside international guests, the collection focuses on what Artificio does best: adventurous sound design tuned for the dancefloor. Bookended by radiant and reflective ambient pieces from Aeondelit and Ross, Horizontes moves across a broad BPM spectrum anchored by low-end pressure. Direct club mechanics and techno-bass from Passq, Brenda, and Croft set the baseline. p_lem, Soft Collision, and Binary Algorithms sink into spatial dub textures, balancing the high-speed broken beats of Rachiid Paralyzing, Juana Valeria, sepbtt, and Terry Cotta. The compilation also highlights distinct Latin club expressions: Noise Casinos tribal-bass crunch, sub-heavy artillery from WOST & Rainmaker and Entranas, Eddy Lover XOs Latin bass dynamics, and DJ Forxas long-awaited slice of Caribbean "tribal funky coleteo.
