Mel Deacon - It's Been A Privilege (1978)

This is a rare independent Canadian rock album, recorded in Edmonton at Sundown Records and released by House of Lords Records.
The project's lead vocalist and guitarist is Mel Deacon (real name Melvin Degen). Before going solo, he gained local fame as the frontman of the popular Canadian band Privilege, hence the play on words in the album title ("It Was Privilege" / "It Was with Privilege").
The album features a mix of Deacon's original songs and covers of well-known hits. The album has never been released on CD or digital platforms, making the original 1979 vinyl a collector's item among fans of vintage 1970s Canadian rock.
