Nick Jonah Davis - Rose Delta Rising (2026) [Hi-Res]

BAND/ARTIST: Nick Jonah Davis

British guitarist and composer Nick Jonah Davis, operating at the intersection of British folk, American Primitive Guitar, country blues, post-rock, and free improvisation, has released the collaborative album Rose Delta Rising via Cardinal Fuzz and Eiderdown Records. Departing from his solo acoustic repertoire, this project was funded by Arts Council England and recorded with a full backing ensemble at Black Bay Studio in the Outer Hebrides. Davis is joined by drummer Joe Danks, bassist Neal Heppleston, composer Richard "Biff" Birkin contributing string arrangements, and multi-instrumentalist Gayle Brogan (Pefkin / Burd Ellen). The record's sonic palette incorporates influences from African guitar music, psychedelic blues textures reminiscent of Peter Green, and ambient atmospherics. Delayed for several years before release, the album honors the memory of the artist's late father and draws conceptual inspiration from a childhood memory of a submerged delta kite.
