Pape satàn aleppe (2016) is a monumental conceptual work by the Neapolitan band Osanna, led by longtime frontman Lino Vairetti. The album's title quotes the famous, enigmatic line from Canto VII of Dante Alighieri's Inferno, setting a dark, theatrical, and socio-philosophical tone for the entire release. The album is a striking confirmation that the classics of RPI are capable of creating uncompromising, complex, and relevant music in the 21st century while remaining true to their unique, avant-garde, theatrical style of the 1970s.
