The Ohio-based American band The Music Explosion entered the history of the 1960s American scene as one of the most vibrant acts in garage rock and bubblegum pop. Discovered by the legendary production duo of Jerry Kasenetz and Jeff Katz — the main architects behind the sound of 1910 Fruitgum Company and Ohio Express — the group quickly gained national fame. The defining landmark of their career was the 1967 single «Little Bit O' Soul», which soared to number two on the US charts and became a recognized genre classic, later covered by punk rock icons Ramones. The definitive reissue of the ensemble's sole full-length album includes their follow-up hit «Sunshine Games» alongside rare singles, fully capturing the band's energy and signature style.
